Urban Decay’s revolution lipsticks are my all time favorite lipsticks so when I saw on Instagram that they were on sale for half of their normal price I was ecstatic. Then after scrolling down my feed a sense of dread hit me. My feed was flooded with posts about the new Vice lipstick collection release. Did this mean that my beloved revolution lipsticks were going to be discontinued?! Yup.

So my all time favorite, holy grail, most flattering lipstick ever was going to be gone forever?! I. Was. Devastated. How was I going to live life without Liar? Without Bad Blood?

Fortunately, the new Vice collection will have a mix of new AND existing colors so we won’t have to say goodbye to our favorites. They are just getting repackaged and rebranded and supposedly reformulated (although I really hope not). The packaging still looks relatively nice, however, I prefer the old packaging with the iconic Urban Decay purple and heavy weight. Hopefully, the weight of the bullet will remain the same even though the price is decreasing by $5. One thing that I don’t love about the new packaging is that they have gone to a traditional lipstick bullet shape which, personally, I find more difficult to apply.

But all complaints and worries aside, I am super excited to try out some of the new shades. There looks to be some very nice nude shades that I cannot wait to get my hands on. Not to mention, some of the names are super playful. “Backdoor” is a beautiful chocolate brown shade that I wouldn’t be able to pull off in a million years. Super cheeky name for a brown. I love it.

Check back for updates once I get my hands on some of the new Vice lipsticks to see how they compare to the old Revolution lipsticks. Fingers crossed that they will be just as good, if not better!
